RECIPE | Egg Nog Panna Cotta

Egg Nog Panna Cotta

-A delicious and simple holiday dessert for any holiday celebration-

Yields: approximately 8 cups

  • panna cotta2 ½  cup whole milk
  • 2 ½  cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. vanilla
  • 1 Tbsp. rum extract or rum
  • 6 egg yolks
  • 8 gelatin sheets
  • Nutmeg to taste

In a heavy bottom sauce pot, whisk together milk, cream, sugar, vanilla and nutmeg. Heat on low until sugar is dissolved. In a separate bowl add yolks and slowly add one ladle of the hot mixture at a time to temper the eggs. Return mixture to the heat and add the rum. In a separate bowl, quickly soften gelatin in cold water. Do not allow it to dissolve! Once soft, add gelatin to the mixture. Portion into mason jars or other small dishes and chill to set.

Serve at your holiday party, or for a quick winter dessert!
