CARIGNAN | Birichino 'Pet Nat' | '21 Monterey, CA
This is a super fun, no-fuss rose sparkler that is dying to be crushed on a hot patio. Crisp and bone dry with cherry fruit and licorice, it's perfect on its own but also plays well with all of the lighter fare and seafood on our menu. Not all sparkling wine needs to have the history and prestige of Champagne. This is a perfect example of that idea; playful, refreshing, delicious.
HONDARRABI BELTZA | Rezabal | '21 Txakoli, ES
Rezabal has been featured on every All Day Rose menu we've ever written, and for good reason. This wine is super zesty and bright with crisp lime, peaches, and a tiny kiss of shishito pepper (don't worry, not spicy, just fun and herbaceous!!), all backed with a whisper of salty sea breeze. It's bottled with a tiny bit of CO2, so it's not a full-blown sparkling wine by any means, but it has a kiss of effervescence that makes it even more sippable. Enjoy as an aperitif or with any of the lighter dishes on the menu.
TOURIGA NACIONAL | Rocim | '21 Alentejo, PT
This is the most 'classical' in our opinion, so if you aren't feeling super adventurous, try the Rocim. Ripe raspberry, strawberry, and peach, this brings us right to the Mediterranean coast of Provence, even though the fruit is from Portugal! An absolutely crowd-pleasing wine and a perfect example of a classic style being produced in a not-so-classic region.
BLAUFRANKISCH | Claus Presinger | '21 Burgenland, AT
Ok you're going to have to trust us on this one. Funky? Yes. Different? Yes. Delicious? YES!!! On the nose this wine will transport you right to the barrel room where the wine is fermenting; yeasty, bretty, funky, but backed with bright tart rhubarb and salty watermelon. Crisp and super refreshing on the palate. Ever had a Strawberry Sour Patch Kids? Yeah, it's kinda like that...a must try for anyone seeking the unknown!
CINSAULT | Chateau Musar 'Jeune' | '21 Bekaa Valley, LB
Bekaa Valley has 6000 years of wine making history, so its no wonder we are able to find such delicious wines there today. Chateau Musar sets the standard with quality wine making in the region, and the Jeune Rose is no exception. This is the ripest and most filled in of the lineup, with red apples, blackberry, black cherry, and kiss of cassis, all lifted up with fresh acidity that keeps the whole thing light on its feet. The complexity here makes it a great match for a lot of food on the menu and can stretch beyond lighter fare and seafood into some of the richer plates being served.
PINK SPRITZ | birichino pet nat, italicus, orange, bitters, soda
A riff on a classic Aperol Spritz, this cocktail utilizes the Birichino Pet Nat Rose along with Italicus, a citrus liqueur produced with Bergamot (a hybrid lemon + orange fruit grown in southern Italy). This cocktail defines Patio Crusher. Sweet citrus fruits, floral, and just a little bitter, it's perfect for kicking back on the patio and enjoying summer vibes.
