News | The Kitchen Announces Hedge Row American Bistro

The Kitchen Restaurant Group is excited to announce a new restaurant concept: Hedge Row, a relaxed American Bistro featuring rustic dishes from a wood-fired oven.

Hedge Row is named after the farm where The Kitchen’s founders, Jen Lewin, Hugo Matheson and Kimbal Musk first sourced ingredients for their initial restaurant that opened in Boulder, Colorado in 2004. Two Hedge Row locations will open in 2017; one in Cherry Creek, a shopping district and neighborhood in Denver, Colorado, the other in the Mass Ave. Arts District in Indianapolis, Indiana.

“In Hedge Row, The Kitchen pays tribute to its sourcing roots—and to all American farmers that produce high quality food ingredients,” said Don Degnan, President of The Kitchen Restaurant Group.  “We are excited to join the Cherry Creek and Mass Ave. food scenes and add wood roasted dishes served in a high-energy space to the mix.”

Hedge Row will feature an all-day menu for lunch and dinner in a comfortable setting and high level hospitality. The entire menu will be sourced from American farmers. A wood roasted oven in each Hedge Row will give the menu a rustic boost with roasted beets, carrots, cauliflower, and chicken.

Signature items on the Hedge Row menu will include Mole Braised Short Ribs with Polenta & Spring Radish, Wood Roasted Trout with Almond Brown Butter & Celery, Charred Chinese Broccoli with Caramelized Lemon and Chili & Garlic, Cookie Jar for the Table. The menu will also include mainstays from The Kitchen Restaurant Group such as The Kitchen Tomato Soup, our signature Bolognese and Sticky Toffee Pudding.
